  1. Haikus (just like Smarties) often have the answer, as long as you ask the right questions. Not to nitpick but automatically has six syllables, so the perfectionist in me would re-word it, although finding a substitute for automatically would have me tearing my hair out 🙂 Also I hate it when computer programs move things around without telling us or burying it in Q&A, who has got time to dig through all that crap when there are important things like TV episodes to catch up on 😉

      1. Lol I suppose it is the difference between ending with ‘cal-ly’ and just say ‘cly’. Someone reviewed my poetry book recently and they had the old version and they mentioned one of their favourite haikus regarding going to the movies. It had six syllables and I was like “Ahhhh – too many syllables!” but I had already fixed that in newer versions. Also, I’m not that much of a haiku purist that you have to distort the meaning of the haiku if you are stuck with a word that is just over the number of syllables and difficult to replace. Haikus are so good for telling jokes though because you don’t have much room to work with and have to heavily edit them to get them to fit, which results in such classic zingers, that’s why your NanoPoblano series is such fun to read 🙂
