Nano Poblano 2017- 30 Days of Haiku- Day 11

A Birdseed Fairy
Visits my home bearing gifts
Of seed and suet

****

“Dog Lady” is what
She calls herself, while having
Dubbed me “Bird Lady”

****

Likes my birdfeeders
Wants to help to keep them filled
She loves birds also

****

Grateful for the help
That she has offered and I’m
Sure the birds are too

  1. Dog Lady and Bird Lady both sound like superheroes from the Adult Swim universe. “My birds will fight crime – fly my babies, fly!” “My dogs have got the criminal’s scent – run my furry friends, go get ’em!” Do you take any pictures of the birds? I remember all of the jokes that were made regarding birdwatching when I was younger (with people having to sit around for hours to spot them) but what fascinates me is feeding them and getting to see them up close, along with getting pictures of the uniquely coloured ones. One of my favourite videos is watching many hummingbirds dipping their beaks into a concoction held up close to a camera and they all buzz around at once. And I’m mad about cats and dogs, so I’m sure I would get on well with Dog Lady 🙂

    1. I’ve taken loads of pictures of the birds that visit my patio. A lot of them are in an album on Facebook. I’ve got a few pictures of hummingbirds that have visited my hummingbird feeder o in there, but they’re all taken from the other side of the window, so none of them are all that close up.
