Nano Poblano 2017- 30 Days of Haiku- Day 18

I should probably
Be using prompts to help me
Write haiku this month

****

Instead I have been
Hoping for inspiration
To drop in my lap

****

That magnificent
Ideas will just spring to life
When I start to write

****

Beautiful haiku
That fill people with wonder
And inspire them

****

Instead I’m writing
Haiku about wanting to
Write pretty haiku

****

I’m sure that there’s a
Life lesson hidden in this
Waiting to be found

  1. For me as a reader you’re daily life has been great when it comes to prompts. You’ve written relatable, funny haikus. Those qualities I often find lacking in other haikus. All is a matter of taste, so my opinion is just one.

  2. I think haikus about writing haikus are perfectly fine when they are a witty and amusing as this, along with finishing on an insightful tone at the end too. Inspiration is all around us and within us, so it is up to us to harness our creative energies and express it in unusual and entertaining ways 🙂 Also Merry Christmas Charlene, have a lovely time and I’ll read some more of these when I’ve enjoyed the holidays 🙂
